Journey to South Africa

My Journey to South Africa ! About a year ago at our first Residency meeting, Dr. Torres mentioned the opportunity to participate in a Study Abroad Program to South Africa. I immediately sparked an interest that never went away. The program involves working closely with one of the schools, Slangspruit Primary School, in South Africa, to help with the process of technology integration into their classrooms. As educators, our role is to provide students with an educational experience that optimizes their academic success. Thus, it is important that these students engage in appropriate educational experiences that not only stimulate their critical thinking and problem solving skills, but also provide a student-centered environment that allows students to investigate and explore through the use of educational technology.
